Austin is a United States Air Force veteran who earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Valdosta State University in 2017; followed by a master’s degree in kinesiology, recreation and sport from Hardin-Simmons University in 2019. Austin also worked as an athletic trainer at Abilene Christian University working predominately with women’s soccer and softball.

Following his time at Abilene Christian University, Austin pursued a residency at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho. He continued in a clinical and surgical role at St. Luke’s with the residency medical director. During this time, he pursued and obtained his Board Certified Specialty in Orthopedics through the BOC.

Austin currently lives in Westminster Colorado, and loves spending time with his wife and two sons outdoors.
