Kira has been a BOC certified athletic trainer since 2018 and is currently licensed in the state of Colorado. She has been with UCHealth in Denver, Colorado since 2019 and since that time has worked with orthopedic surgeons, hand plastic surgeons, as well as a physical medicine and rehab specialist.

Kira attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado where she not only received her Bachelors of Arts in Athletic Training but also had a minor in coaching. Directly following graduation in 2018, Kira was part of the Masters of Science- Advanced Athletic Training, Specialization in Youth Sport Injury offered through the University of South Florida and graduated in May of 2020. During her time in the master’s program, Kira started working in the physician practice setting in May 2018. She had the pleasure of working with Dr. Hugentobler in clinic as well as being his Surgical First Assist and Surgical Technologist. It was her time with Dr. Hugentobler that inspired her to advocate and support the need for athletic trainers in the orthopedic setting and has continued to do so.

Kira resides in Aurora, Colorado with her husband, RJ and rescue dog, Gabe.
