Amanda Keenan is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Louisiana. She currently serves as a Sports Medicine Assistant with Ochsner Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Amanda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Tulsa and a Master of Science in Sports Medicine & Athletic Training from Missouri State University. She completed a graduate assistantship with Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, serving in both the rehabilitation and physician practice settings. 

Realizing a passion for serving athletes and patients in the rehabilitation and physician practice settings, Amanda had the opportunity to continue her practice in these settings with Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Throughout her career in both St. Louis and New Orleans, Amanda has had the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and clinicians. She has experience with primary care and non-operative Sports Medicine, rehabilitation, concussion care, diagnostic and procedural ultrasound, and orthobiologics. She also has enjoyed many opportunities to train and educate other Athletic Trainers and students.

Amanda resides in Metairie, LA with her husband and 2 children, Emma and Avery, and their labradoodle Joey. They enjoy exploring local cuisine and breweries, as well as partaking in any outdoor activity they can.
