Erica has been a board-certified athletic trainer since 2012 and is currently working in Durham, NC.  Erica earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Education in Kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine from the University of Virginia in 2010 and her Master’s in Athletic Training from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2012.

Following graduate school, Erica worked as a certified athletic trainer for Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX. She worked primarily with the women’s volleyball team, men and women’s wrestling teams, men and women’s swim and dive teams, and baseball.  She also served as an adjunct professor, teaching Nutrition and Human Performance, Safety and First Aid, and Foundations of Health and Wellness.  In 2014, she started work at Lubbock Sports Medicine, transitioning into the physician practice setting.  While in Lubbock, she also served as a recurrent faculty for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, teaching Therapeutic Modalities and Administration of Athletic Training Programs & Professional Development.  

Erica currently works at Duke Orthopaedics, primarily with Dr. Marc Richard, in the Hand and Microsurgery Division.  She currently resides in Holly Springs, NC with her family.
